Contract: Permanent,

Holiday: 25 days holiday per annum

Full time equivalent salary: From £22,963 per annum including London Fringe

We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our premises. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. The post holder can expect to assist the Premises Manager in the full range of caretaking duties and may be requested to work at any site within the Academy Trust ( all in Bishop's Stortford).

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring site security and operating and comply with site security procedures
  • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance work as needed including non-specialist decorating tasks
  • General cleaning around the site, including waste management
  • Monitoring and replenish cleaning supplies
  • Ensuring all areas are kept tidy and organised
  • Reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Moving furniture around the site as required
  • Setting up tables and chairs for school events
  • Operating any equipment and machinery in accordance with instructions


Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial cleaning is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to work calmly and patiently under pressure and use initiative to solve problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good physical health and stamina for manual labour
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly, politely and effectively
