Overview: This part-time position provides essential frontline reception and administrative support to the Junior School. The role involves being the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and visitors and managing various administrative tasks such as monitoring registration and completing absence and late reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the main school reception, acting as the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries.
  • Provide a welcoming reception service to all members of the school and the wider community.
  • Perform general administrative support duties as directed by the Office Manager and Head’s PA.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding principles and procedures at all times.
  • Handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Support the whole school with administrative tasks as required.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Diplomatic and discreet in handling sensitive information.
  • Previous experience in a busy receptionist role is desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills.


Salary: Competitive, to be discussed during the interview process.

Hours:

  • Term time (36 weeks) with an additional three weeks during half terms and one week during the school summer holiday = 40 weeks paid pro-rate over 12 months.
  • Part-time: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 1 pm.

Newbridge Preparatory School is a leading independent day school for children aged 2 to 11. Newbridge Preparatory School has been an independent day school in Wolverhampton since 1937. Newbridge Preparatory School moved to its present site in Newbridge Crescent in 1949. The school was originally founded by an eminent local surgeon and initially operated as a member of the Parents’ National Education Union. Many former pupils affectionately remember the P.N.E.U School.
