Job overview
We are looking for a warm and friendly School Secretary with excellent communication and IT skills to provide administrative and medical support in our main school reception.
This is a busy and varied role which includes, but not limited to:
- Reception duties
- First Aid
- Headmaster's diary management and official correspondence
- Organising minibus registers
- New pupil starter correspondence, parents welcome, file creation etc
- Weekly newsletter
- Various periodic tasks including scholarship correspondence, staff appraisal booking for Headmaster, new term information updates, processing end of term reports etc
- Providing administration support to SLT for any ad hoc parental communication and/or events.
First aid experience and qualifications are very welcome but the candidate must be willing to complete the First Aid at Work course as part of this role.
The role is term time Monday to Friday for 45 hours per week, broadly 35 working weeks per year. The office is open from 8am to 17:30 and you will be expected to work in a rota to cover these hours. You will also be required to work some additional days during each school holiday to keep up to date with emails and other administration tasks.
Start date: Monday 6th January 2025
Closing date: Wednesday 13th November at 12 noon with interviews being conducted the week commencing 18th November.
