Due to growth in service, we are recruiting a Senior School Administrator to join our amazing team at Stretton Shires School, Stretton, Rutland.

  • £25,000.00 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Permanent; Term Time only

We are looking for a highly effective Senior Administrator who can support with the development of The Shires, Stretton. Your role will be wide ranging and will really support in the changing of young peoples and pupil’s lives.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised person who takes pride in their work and is able to self-manage themselves effectively. We also require someone who can adapt to change and identify priorities. The School Senior Administrator is a crucial part of the operation of the school and works as part of the School’s Senior Leadership Team to assist the Headteacher ensuring that the school meets its educational and operational aims. 

The School Senior Administrator is responsible for providing support for the professional leadership and management of the school in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff, with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of the school and improving standards of learning and achievement. 

The School Senior Administrator promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s operational objectives.

Set in the heart of the Rutland countryside, Shires Stretton School is an independent day and residential school catering for autistic young people, and those with associated needs, offering specialist secondary education for pupils aged 11 – 18.

Established in 2005 as a residential home and school, we are currently growing our day pupil numbers, meaning we constantly need to recruit passionate and dedicated staff to support our growth aspirations.

Our aim for the young people coming to Stretton Shires is quite simple; we want every young person to progress developmentally, educationally and socially. We want them to develop an understanding of themselves and to experience what success feels like. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
