Grafham Grange School is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need. It is situated in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Bramley offering significant opportunities for outdoor learning.

The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our supportive and enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, tailoring learning to meet the needs of our students. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEMH needs, helping them unlock their full potential in science and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons that are differentiated to support the diverse needs of our students

·        Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting them in reaching their academic targets

·        Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and other teachers to create a supportive and effective learning environment

·        Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, respect, and a love of learning

·        Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development to continue enhancing your skills and supporting the school’s values and mission

Requirements:

·        Teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

·        Honours Degree

·        Further relevant training in special educational needs
