Job overview
Set in a stunning location on the banks of the River Mole, within 45 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside, Parkside is a leading independent boys’ Prep School, with co-educational nursery provision.
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Science teacher to join our dedicated staff base from January (or April) 2025. We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers as well as experienced teachers, but above all we are seeking an exceptional teacher to ignite curiosity and foster a love of learning in our pupils.
The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and character to thrive in a small but dynamic school such as ours, be able to work collaboratively with others as part of a cohesive team, and above all be an excellent teacher who can inspire and motivate pupils, parents and colleagues. You will have the capability and passion to ensure excellent rates of progress for all pupils, and possess strong interpersonal skills to enable you to develop strong productive relationships with parents, other professionals, and the wider community. Further information can be found in the attached Candidate Information Pack.
The primary responsibility of the role is teaching Science to KS2 and/or KS3, however the ideal candidate will be able to offer at least one other subject to compliment their main role.
We have high aspirations for our staff as well as our students, and have excellent professional development opportunities and potential for career progression, as well as a supportive network of mentors within our SLT.
If you are an inspirational, hard-working individual, passionate about teaching and shaping the minds of the next generation, then we would be delighted to receive your application.
The successful candidate will become an important and valued member of a collaborative team developing the change makers of the future.
