This is a perfect role for:

  • ECTs and Qualified Teachers who are looking to broaden their experience of working with students from different catchment areas.
  • Subject Leaders who are looking to develop their experiences through working with various academic and leadership teams prior to moving on to school leadership.
  • Subject Leaders/Teachers who are looking to take a step back from leadership duties to align with responsibilities outside of employment.

About the role

Working with the departments of the schools you are based in, you will focus on supporting the department through providing a high-quality teaching experience to students and ensuring high standards through effective teaching and learning, including preparation, evaluation and action planning. You will become an integral part of the department you join, allowing you to experience working with various department teams as well as work in a cross-curricular way to support the subject across the academy.

Location: Based on suitability, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at one of our academies across the Teesside area.

This role would be open to a Job Share opportunity.

About Outwood Alternative Provision Eston

Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

Chief Executive Principal: Julie Slater

Executive Principal: Steve Merifield

Outwood Alternative Provision Eston is an innovative alternative provision centre, principally for students from Outwood Academies in the Northern Region who need additional behavioural, social, emotional or mental health support. In line with our absolute commitment to inclusion in its widest sense, this is an alternative provision for vulnerable students who display challenging behaviours and are often at risk of high levels of fixed-period exclusions or permanent exclusion.

Operating much smaller classes than our mainstream academies, this alternative provision focuses on personal development and the health and well being of students, whilst not losing academic rigour. We will focus on ensuring that all students can achieve well and are able to move to their next stage with confidence, be it education, employment or training.
