Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Technician to provide support to staff and students in the Science department at Saint Paul’s Catholic High School[i].


The main duties of the role are:

To work collaboratively with all staff and parents in order to support student well-being.

Under the direction of senior staff, to be responsible for providing technical support to staff and students in the Science department, including preparation and routine maintenance of resources and equipment.

The successful candidate will:

·        Be able to work well with students

·        Have an understanding of the equipment used in a Science department

·        Have strong moral and ethical principles

·        Be flexible, motivated and able to follow instructions, and remain calm in difficult circumstances

·        Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations

·        Be flexible, open to new ideas, committed to working as part of a team and of course have a good sense of humour

·        Act with the utmost integrity at all times

St Paul’s is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school situated in Newall Green, Manchester. Operating under the Diocese of Shrewsbury, St Paul’s is part of the multi-academy Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust (WCAT), which also supports three local schools at primary level. Slightly smaller than the average secondary school, it will provide 900 places for pupils aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.

The school reopened as an academy in March 2013.
