All our pupils have an Education Health and Care plan, have a diagnosis of autism and a considerable proportion have several comorbid additional needs. These include of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment disorder, additional social emotional and mental health needs, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Many of our young people can present with behaviours of concern and it takes a very special person to support them. We are looking for a Securing Education in School (SES) Worker to join our team at Arc School, Ansley. This is a full time, permanent position working 41 hours per week. Reporting into the SENDCo and Pastoral Lead, you will be responsible for the education of children on our school role who may struggle to access an onsite curriculum.

You will work on and off the school site with pupils, transporting them to learning venues as necessary. You will support them as they complete learning activities and plan strategically for them to transition back to full time education on the school site. You will communicate with transparency to all stakeholders during term time plus agreed dates during holidays to support the transition of new pupils. The curriculum will be a social and academic programme, and all pupils will have a clear expectation of a return to full time education on the school site.

Arc School Ansley is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014. We are an independent special day school in Ansley a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 16. Our experienced team supports children and young people with various complex educational, social and emotional needs, mostly associated with autism. The school supports young people with various co-existing needs, some of which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment disorder, SEMH, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
