Community Links Academy Trust are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant, who, as a career professional, will be proud of the work undertaken within our specific SEN Learning Department and be part of making a significant change to our students’ well-being and educational needs.
Our students range in ability, and as a school, we believe that all students should make measurable progress from their initial starting point.
The role includes:
- Work with individuals or groups of pupils to address targets identified in pupils’ individual education plans
- Promote and reinforce pupils’ self-esteem, independence and participation within the school community
- Show sensitivity to the issues surrounding students who may exhibit challenging behaviour, are disaffected, have learning difficulties and complex needs
- Participate in the planning process as directed by class teachers
- Assist in the delivery of intervention and support programmes
- Provide assistance as required in the development of learning resources
- Provide physical assistance where necessary, which may include intimate and personal care
- Support pupils on off-site visits and independent travel
This is not an exhaustive list of all tasks that may fall to the post holder and employees will be expected to carry out such other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.
This is a term time only (39 weeks annually), 37.5 hours per week contract
