Redbourn Park is growing quickly and offers an incredible opportunity to work in a quickly gorwing and developing team. We have a range of staff and the we are set up to support both new teachers and experienced staff alike. We have program in place to develop teachers and opporunties to progress for as we grow for those with more experienece. Teaching follows a primary style across age groups, with small groups of 4-6 students, supported by 1-2 Teaching Assistants and specialist therapeutic staff. This creates an ideal environment for developing your teaching practice while making a real difference. We teach the full national curriculum, and while we focus primarily on meeting individual needs, we maintain high aspirations for every child to reach their potential. Working with just 4-6 in a class with 1/2 TA's and around 12 students on site, supported by 8-10 staff, it provide an excellent environemtn for those who want to be able to invest time in those they work with, and have the time and resources to make a real difference to the children and their family's lives. Our students have autism as their primary need, alongside other complex needs. They are capable learners who have often had difficult experiences in previous schools. You'll work with students experiencing anxiety and demand avoidance, giving you valuable experience in special education. Don't worry if you're new to working with autism - we provide comprehensive training and continuous support from our experienced team. Since opening in 2021, we've already expanded to a second site, with a third site planned. This growth from our current 24 students to around 40 will create numerous opportunities for career progression as you develop your skills and experience. You'll be based at either our KS2 or KS3 site, teaching in a primary, nurture group style.
