Your new role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Have English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Be flexible and a team player
  • Have the patience and understanding to work with student with academic and other challenges e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, ASC

 

This post includes

  • Supporting students in the classroom by adapting and explaining work, helping them to focus
  • Supporting students 1:1 by pre-teaching, explaining lessons, classwork and homework and running and assisting with small groups e.g with adapted work, lego therapy, social skills, ADHD
  • Helping out in whole school or year group assemblies and activities

 

Training

  • In house training
  • External training on subjects of special interest e.g. lego therapy, Team teach, dyslexia, dyscalculia
  • The possibility of teacher training and becoming a qualified teacher
