We are looking for a SEND Tutor to join our dedicated team in Sefton, Liverpool.

Job Description

  • Prepare course/training materials
  • Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner
  • Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria
  • Complete learner and delivery paperwork as required in a timely manner
  • Provide Initial Assessment and diagnostic of the learner needs including English and maths using company standards
  • Deliver functional skills English and Maths up to level 2
  • Teach wellbeing awareness
  • Attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC
  • Support learners with LDD/SEND/ behaviour in a variety of classroom settings
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed
  • Be aware of individual learner’s risk assessments and needs
  • Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible

Person Specification

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural and mental health difficulties
  • Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation

Job Type: Full-time.
