What we are looking for:
Would you like to be part of an exciting journey by joining a newly opened and growing school, based at our brand-new site with outstanding facilities off Thorpeville, from April 2025? Would you like to work in professional partnership with a school (NSB) ranked as the top (non-grammar) state school in the East Midlands by the Sunday Times for 2023 based on GCSE and A Level results?
The NSB Trust is looking for a SENDCo, with any subject specialism, to join our growing, co-educational, 11-16 academy, Northampton School. We are seeking applicants who share in our ambitious, supportive and aspirational culture and can help to deliver our curriculum to the highest standards whilst also embracing the ethos, values and visions of The Trust. You will work closely with The NSB Trust SENDCo to ensure consistent levels of provision across the Trust, embedding the West Northants SEND ranges.
You will join part of an incredible team of teachers who are passionate about providing young people with the opportunity to grow and thrive in this growing community. We are already immensely proud of our extracurricular programme of activities, and it is essential that the successful applicant contributes to drive this provision forward at Northampton School.
The successful candidate must either hold or have started the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) or be committed to work towards the National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators within three years of starting this role. This postholder will have remission commensurate with the size of the school. As the school grows, so remission and salary for this post will increase.
We offer a truly exciting range of CPD opportunities for all teachers and leaders across the school and are wholly committed to investing in the development of our staff in The NSB Trust.
How to apply
We welcome all interested applicants to arrange a telephone/video call so that you can learn more about Northampton School and what we could offer you as a member of staff. Please also take the chance to browse our website to learn more about our past and how we are looking to the future.
Applications are accepted via the application form (available on the vacancies page), via TES QuickApply or TeachNorthants. We reserve the right to act on applications received, prior to the closing date, so encourage applications to be submitted as early as possible.
Closing date: 9am, Thursday 12th December 2024.
Interviews: w/c Monday 16th December 2024.
The NSB Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts working with children and young people will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
