Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Senior Attendance Officer to join Edgar Wood Academy, a new and expanding school that opened in September 2021. This is a key role within the attendance team, where you will lead on all aspects of daily attendance management, including tracking trends, completing first-day phone calls, conducting home visits, issuing penalty notices, attending attendance panels, and referring cases to the Local Authority/Education Welfare Officer when required.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Edgar Wood Academy at a pivotal stage in our development. The school currently has 630 students across Years 7 to 10 and will continue to grow. We have recently moved into a modern, state-of-the-art building with stunning views of the local countryside while being conveniently located near several motorway links.

Salary: The post will be paid on support staff salary scale point 25 to 29, currently £35,235 to £38,626 per annum. Actual for term-time only and 37 hours per week is £30,443 - £33,373 per annum.
