We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Science Technician to join our fantastic Science Team!
We are a brand new, bigger team, working together to deliver the best education for our students.
We have a brand new school building which opened this week to our students.
Our new Science department takes up the full length of the top floor in the new building which consists of a brand new prep room, filled with new equipment including a fully secure chemical store. 7 new labs, 2 of which are fitted with state of the art portable fume cupboards. We also store and maintain radio active sources.
We are in the process of introducing Lablogger, which is a new system to us.
Newhouse Academy delivers combined Science up to GCSE level, we also run a KS3 Science club as extra curricular.
We are part of the Rochdale Science Network, working in partnership with other high schools across the borough.
It is important that you are a team player and understand how important our values are to us. This has helped Newhouse Academy to become one of the most improved academies in the country.
You will need to be able to manage a small team of science technicians and support in the development of the practical skills of the wider science team.
