Singing Tutor And Choir Leader

Central Foundation Boys School is looking for a Singing Tutor & Choir Leader to provide singing lessons to students from age 11 to 18 and lead one of our school choirs. This is a rare opportunity to join a vibrant, diverse and ever developing music team, working with young people in the heart of the city.

This year, Central Foundation Boys School (CFBS), opened its brand-new Performing Arts Centre, comprising of 2 music classrooms, 1 mac suite, a recording studio, a band room, 5 music practice rooms and a 180-seater performing arts theatre. This is the culmination of many years of planning and development, that reflects the position of music at the heart of the school.

All students in KS3 at CFBS take part in the MiSST programme, where they learn either the viola, violin or flute. All pupils are eligible to apply for completely subsidised one-to-one music tuition, tailored to their particular interests and requirements. Our extra-curricular Music School currently hosts activities that feature nearly 20% of the school and range from beginner orchestra up to award-winning ensembles.
