About St. Hild's Church of England School

St Hild's Church of England School, named after Saint Hild of Whitby, the founding abbess of the monastery at Whitby, is a mixed, 11-16 secondary school located in Hartlepool, County Durham. It has been part of NEAT Academy Trust family of schools since April 2021.

St HIld’s aims to serve its local community by providing a high-quality, fully inclusive teaching and learning environment in a Christian context. We work tirelessly to ensure each child enjoys their education and is able to achieve the best they can, both academically and in terms of their personal and social development. Values and vision

As a Christian community, St Hild’s’ educational offering is based on the values of care, equality, honesty and responsibility.

Students are encouraged to have increasingly high expectations of themselves and are nurtured to develop growth mindsets so that they believe that their intelligence can grow and that effort leads to success. The school offers full support so that they can achieve their academic potential, as well as develop both personally and socially.

Traditional teaching methods are complemented by innovative and creative methods of curriculum delivery.  The school takes in loco parentis seriously and makes every effort to make the decisions that parents and carers would make for their own children if they could.

Welcome from the NEAT Academy Trust CEO
