We have an exciting opportunity for a Sixth Form Academic Mentor. Ricards Lodge High School is an outstanding, successful and vibrant multi-cultural comprehensive school for girls with a co-educational Sixth Form. We have high expectations of all our students and provide a dynamic and stimulating environment in which they can learn and develop as individuals.
The roles includes:
- Planning, delivering, monitoring and evaluating the academic support for students identified on the sixth form intervention register
- Managing the Sixth Form Learning Resource Centre as a successful resource for all post 16 learners
- Working closely with the Sixth Form Leadership Team and Tutor Team to identify students who would benefit from further intervention and support, create action plans, liaise with parents, tutors, subject teachers and Head of Year
- Contributing and developing high quality academic mentoring to Years 12 and 13 and to monitor and evaluate its impact

About Ricards Lodge High School
Ricards Lodge High School is a girls-only, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form situated in Wimbledon, south-west London. It is a community state school and was known as The Wimbledon Day Commercial School when it opened in 1924.
A larger than average secondary school, Ricards Lodge provides 1,200 places for students between the ages of 11 and 19 when fully subscribed.

The aim of Ricards Lodge is to “educate successful women of the future”. It strives to be an environment that challenges all its students academically, celebrating rigour and quality and helping pupils to achieve through the use of technology.
Ricards Lodge High School has a specialism in the performing arts and has gained the Artsmark Gold Award. The school believes that the risk-taking nature of the arts helps to increase self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as improving students' attitudes to learning.
