Salary range: £27,528 - £29,094 per annum pro rata

Do you have experience of additional learning support within a post 16 environment? Have you worked as a specialist learning support practitioner before or looking for your next career step?

The Additional Learning Support & Inclusion Department are recruiting a Specialist Support Practitioner. The main duties of the role are to work proactively with a caseload of students with Education Health and Care Plans, providing academic and pastoral support, monitoring their progress and developing their support plans. You will be assigned one or more curriculum areas and will be the point of contact with academic staff and parents for learners with Education Health and Care Plans within that area. Experience in the role or similar is necessary, as is a flexible proactive approach, good organisation and communication skills and a thorough demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding and Professional Boundaries. The most vital attributes are enthusiasm, flexibility, patience. You will need to be conscientious and dedicated to making a difference to our learner's educational journey.
