Spiritual insight is the cornerstone of our educational philosophy. This role is for Chaplaincy services to students in Year 7 and above at Avanti Fields.

Avanti Chaplaincy is devoted to nurturing the spiritual essence of the Avanti community. Our Spiritual Wellbeing Leads offer a safe haven for students, providing both emotional and spiritual support. Within this supportive space,

Spiritual Wellbeing Leads guide students on their personal spiritual journeys, encouraging self-discovery and growth. Through meaningful and transformative conversations, students are inspired to flourish in their unique ways. Spiritual Wellbeing Leads also introduce practices like guided meditation and yoga, promoting holistic wellbeing and inner peace.

What will you do?

  • To contribute to the Spiritual Insight provision at the school
  • To support the spiritual and emotional development of students and staff by providing drop-in sessions
  • To develop the Chaplaincy at Avanti House Secondary School so that it contributes to the provision of the Avanti Way, including its implementation and assessing its impact.
  • Support the Pastoral and Inclusion teams in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • To lead staff and student wellbeing discussion groups

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills
  • Creativity to develop our new chaplaincy at Avanti House Secondary School
  • Exceptional listening skills and empathic communication skills
  • Ability to integrate and work as part of the pastoral team
  • Have developed knowledge and a wholesome understanding of the major world religions
  • Experience in leading faith-related activities in an educational setting
