Supply - Learning Assistants

Kings’ School Dubai is seeking outstanding Learning Assistants (Supply) on an ad hoc basis to join our excellent and highly successful department. 

The successful candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner, setting high expectations for pupils within a bespoke classroom. They will produce a language rich and exciting environment for pupils to make progress with a high focus on communication and interaction skills, social skills and emotional regulation.

Working in Dubai is a fast-paced and rewarding experience, however, it is a demanding and rigorous working environment which requires committed and motivated professionals. As such we seek team leaders who understand that their role extends far beyond the classroom. 

Requirements 

  • British Primary School trained Teaching Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience 
  • Must have experience of working in Nursery or Foundation Stage 
  • Has experience of learning through play 
  • Ability to support the delivery of an adapted curriculum to meet the needs of the children 
  • Ability to deliver creative learning activities 
  • Ability to support creative learning environments 
  • Ability to support the implementation of Education Plans 
  • A clear personal philosophy of education 
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to understand and interpret the root causes of a range of challenging behaviours and to support the implementation of effective behaviour management strategies 
  • An excellent understanding of how to teach the acquisition of early phonics and mathematical skills 
  • Must be on family visa
  • Must be a resident in Dubai
