Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Arabic B (Secondary) to support our expansion and provision across this phase of the school.

The Post

Due to our expansion applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland. By being ambitious, not only for students but for yourself, you will help us build and maintain a successful programme of study in Arabic by sharing in the responsibility for teaching, learning, enrichment and pastoral care. The successful candidate will also be expected to make a contribution to our unique and strong enrichment programme which ensures that learning and opportunity are diverse for all.

The Arabic department is a core subject taught in accordance with the Ministry of Education (MOE) regulations and framework, emphasizing the importance of cultural and linguistic development. We seek an experienced candidate to join our team, bringing collaborative energy to enhance the ongoing improvements within the department.

Arabic is taught across all Key Stages, following a curriculum that aligns with MOE guidelines, carefully adapted to meet the varying needs of each student. At the GCSE level, students follow a curriculum designed to deepen their language proficiency and cultural understanding, with advanced courses available for students looking to further their studies at A-Level.

Arabic lessons are held in classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and learning resources that support a dynamic and engaging learning environment. We believe language learning extends beyond the classroom, and students benefit immensely from cultural and linguistic immersion experiences. The department organizes various field trips and activities that foster a deeper understanding of Arab heritage and language in real-world contexts. Our extra-curricular Arabic clubs and cultural programs, available from primary through secondary levels, allow students to develop fluency while engaging with the richness of the Arabic language and culture firsthand.


The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Have a minimum two years teaching experience
