The Prep School enjoys the many benefits of being part of a 2-18 organisation whilst retaining a unique identity as a rural school with a strong family feel. We aim to be a beacon of inclusivity, where every pupil and staff member is empowered to achieve their full potential. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas of our Community and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates.

KES Prep has a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and its own salary scale as well as a reduction in school fees at King Edward VI Prep and Senior Schools.

The prep school enjoys the many benefits of being part of a 2-18 organisation whilst retaining a unique identity as a rural school with a strong family feel.

Our ethos is to nurture and support our pupils, so that they flourish and exceed their expectations in their learning, interests, relationships and emotional development. Our goal is that they become intellectually curious, resilient, confident and ready for their next steps.

Pupils have access to a wide range of high quality learning resources at KES Prep including a well-stocked library, science laboratory, IT suites, cookery, art, technology and music rooms. Interactive whiteboards, iPads, virtual reality headsets and green screens also enhance pupils’ learning.

KES Prep is a warm and welcoming place to work and develop as an individual and leader. We encourage staff to take on positions of responsibility and value our staff highly for going above and beyond to support the wider life of the school.

Due to our rural location we cannot easily be accessed by public transport, so staff do need their own transport. On site parking is available.
