We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly skilled teacher of Computer Systems. The successful candidate would be capable of delivering KS3 lessons, KS4 OCR National Creative iMedia and potentially further OCR Nationals

The Fernwood School has a thriving, well equipped and forward-thinking Computer Systems department and you would be joining a high performing and cohesive team of teachers and technical staff. The department delivers a wide mix of modern experiences in computer science, media, and broader digital technologies. The department is part of the Art, Design & Technology faculty, where staff work closely together.   

The department benefits from 4 well equipped modern computer suites, along with a smaller break out room for group teaching. The department has a wide variety of equipment and facilities to support the range of projects that are delivered throughout KS3. Further information on the work of the department can be found on our website, and on our Instagram feed @fernwoodadt. 

Experience of teaching OCR National Creative iMedia is desirable but not essential.

This role is not suitable for ECT candidates.

The Fernwood School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy, situated in Wollaton in Nottingham. The school has been recognised by Ofsted and the Department for Education for excellent academic standards and outstanding care and discipline. It achieved Leading Edge status for excellent practice in 2004. There are 1,016 students on the school roll.
