Godstowe is a thriving, busy School enjoying a famous reputation in its field and now entering its 125th anniversary year. Approximately a third of our pupils are boarders. The School prepares children for entry, mostly at 13+ but some at 11+, into the leading independent senior schools. The School prides itself in academic excellence, whilst being non-selective at entry.
Throughout the School's existence Godstowe girls have achieved outstanding results and are recognised for their talents and character by prestigious Senior Schools. Many have competed successfully for scholarships and awards for design at these Schools and have represented the School with success at STEAM challenges. At the same time the School provides excellent pastoral care, to ensure that pupils flourish in line with our ethos of encouraging them to be confident, happy and successful.
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Design Technology for a maternity cover role starting in the Autumn Term 2024. The post holder will teach a range of design and food technology topics in specialist and well equipped rooms. They will also work closely with the Art Department.
This is a full-time role. Among other benefits are a competitive salary, pension, access to our swimming pool and meals in term time.

Godstowe was founded by two strong, progressive women, originally in fact as a school whose purpose would be to prepare girls for the move down the hill to Wycombe Abbey School. Their vision was for an innovative, academic and broad education for girls and, without a doubt, this continues to live on in today’s school.
