The Australian International School Laos, a prestigious Cambridge-accredited school in Vientiane, seeks dedicated and experienced English Teachers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ESL learners, exhibit cultural sensitivity, and have a passion for teaching English to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to ESL learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment fostering language development and cultural awareness.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and proficiency levels of students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enhance the English language program.
• Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and support students in achieving academic success.
• Successfully prepare students for external assessment.

Requirements:

• Be of native level English-speaking Level with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE).
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• Experience teaching English to ESL learners in an international school setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment standards.
• Strong intercultural communication skills and a genuine interest in understanding and respecting diverse cultures.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying English language proficiency levels.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a growth mindset.
• Be culturally sensitive and adaptable.
