We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working teacher to join our ICT/Computing department. This post is suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement. A full ECT Induction Programme is available to new entrants into the profession.
The role offers the opportunity for an experienced teacher to undertake a pastoral role as part of a year team.
At KS3 pupils follow a specially designed course which introduces students to a range of ICT and computing skills. In KS4 students study Cambridge Nationals in Creative iMedia and also have the option to study Computer Science. Post 16 courses include T-level Digital Support Services and CISCO.
Interested candidates will have:
· QTS/QTLS
· the ability to teach IT to KS3/ KS4 and possibly KS5
· the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
· the ability to motivate and achieve excellent results
· excellent organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively
· the ability to form positive working relationships with staff and pupils
University Academy Holbeach is an oversubscribed school in a rural location and serves the local community and the surrounding villages. University Academy Holbeach is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school for students aged 11-16. It is situated in Spalding, Lincolnshire. There are 1,300 pupils at the school and it was rated “good” in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
University Academy Holbeach was established in 2011, after the closure of St Guthlac's School in Crowland and George Farmer Technology and Language College in Holbeach.
