Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a permanent full-time teacher of Mathematics to teach in our school (part time would be possible for the right candidate). The successful applicant will be required to teach Mathematics throughout the age range including GCSE and A Level. Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including ECTs.

Mathematics is an exceptionally popular subject at our school. All pupils take the higher GCSE in year 11 and some sit an extra Level 3 qualification in Algebra. At A Level, Mathematics is studied by most, testament to the high esteem in which the subject is held amongst the school community. We are proud of the wealth of knowledge in our Mathematics department, their innovative use of technology and strength of teamwork.

King Edward VI Aston School is an academy school for boys based in Birmingham for students aged 11-18. It is a Christian school.

A selective grammar school for boys and one of the twelve schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham.  It has been part of the Aston community since 1883 and has strong links with many local schools and organisations primarily through the work of its Sports Partnership.
