Cambridge International School (CIS) in Bratislava, Slovakia, is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join a growing, dedicated and outstanding Secondary School team with early start as February 2025.

The Desired Candidate

We are seeking a UK or similarly qualified graduate in Mathematics or a closely related discipline with a recognised teaching qualification in Mathematics and experience in the teaching of this subject to IGCSE and A-level. Applicants from outside the EU must hold a Master's degree in order to be eligible for employment in Slovakia. Please see the attached letter and appendix for further eligibility details.

The successful candidate must above all be dedicated to educational excellence and international best practice. They should be creative, energetic, flexible, genuinely interested in students and consistently respectful of children, staff, parents and the wider community.

Initial contracts will be for a two-year fixed term, one year by agreement, with the possibility of future renewal by mutual agreement. As with most quality schools, we have a three month probationary period, details of which are clearly explained in employment contracts.

About Cambridge International School (Bratislava)

CIS provides a full schooling programme for 6 to 18 year olds with the university entrance qualification of Cambridge Advance Levels for the  older students.

It is located in Central Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and teaches in English, using native English teachers from UK and other international countries. The school has students from more than 20 different countries, and offers small class sizes.

The curriculum at CIS is based upon the International curriculum from  the Cambridge Assessment International Education, starting with  Cambridge Primary and moving through to IGCSE, AS and A Level in the  senior years. The integrated international programmes ensure a smooth  transition through the years of schooling and provide the opportunity  for students to succeed in a stimulating, externally validated and  highly respected world-class educational programme.
