The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust is responsible for ten schools across Hull; three secondary and seven primary. A Thrive school is one that is a dynamic community of staff, pupils and their families all focussed on one thing - inspiring pupils to thrive in life. 

Newland School for Girls is seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of PE from April 2025.  You will be joining a highly aspirational team. The successful candidate will be an outstanding PE Teacher with excellent subject knowledge preferably with the ability to teach Dance.

The current postholder currently hold a Head of House TLR 2.1 position and for the right candidate with experience, this TLR is also available.   

You will be:

  • An NQT or an outstanding teacher;
  • Able to inspire and motivate students to develop their full potential;
  • Committed to developing the school as part of the wider community;
  • Will be an effective classroom practitioner committed to raising standards for all students
  • Will be able to teach core PE at Key Stages 3 and 4  and the ability and/or willingness to teach Sport Studies and/or Dance at KS4

This role involves contact with children and provides regular access to children, therefore it is  ‘regulated activity’. As such, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act - 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
