Job overview
We wish to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our PE team from September 2025. There is also potential for a Year Leader position. The successful candidate will have an excellent teaching record and the ability to teach PE across Key Stage 3 and 4, along with the commitment to develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students.
Applications from ECTs are welcome as the school has a strong ECT training and support programme.
Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and rated as Good by Ofsted in February 2018. It is one of the top performing mixed schools for E-Bacc in Lewisham. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Federation.

Welcome to Prendergast Vale School, an all-through school in the heart of Lewisham for children from the ages of 3 to 16. We are very fortunate to be part of the Federation and receive a lot of support from the Leathersellers’ Company, which helps our pupils succeed.
