Teacher of Psychology and Criminology

An opportunity has arisen for you to join our highly focused, dedicated staff in the role of Teacher of Psychology and Criminology. Teaching key stage 5 we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can deliver innovative and creative lessons which challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally during their time at the academy.

Our students are the reason that I aim to try and do my very best as a teacher every day. We have some amazing students here at Holgate. The science faculty endeavour to show students that we care about them and we take the time to build positive relationships with the students, which we feel in turn helps to promote the students’ academic growth.

One of the very best things about our Science faculty here at Holgate though is the relationships we have developed with each other. Here, I have made lifelong friends and we are all super supportive of each other. The members of our team are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we approach our jobs with both diligence but also with a sense of humour. Science leaders are supportive and conscientious of workload and we work collaboratively to design lessons to deliver the curriculum. For new staff coming into our faculty, we are welcoming and will try to help you out in any way we can.”

The opportunity

This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher. We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible. 

We endeavour to utilise each teacher's specialism and offer the opportunity to teach A level in our sixth form centre for the right candidate.
