About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant and enthusiastic Science Faculty. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 to KS5, inspiring students to achieve academic excellence while fostering a love for science. You will be a key contributor to a well-resourced department with access to practical learning and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
  • Contribute to the development of an engaging science curriculum.
  • Uphold high expectations for behaviour, fostering a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Aldridge School is an academy for students of all abilities and backgrounds, aged between 11 and 19. There are 1500 students on roll. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2017) rated us as Good in all areas.

We are a founder partner in the exciting newly formed Mercian Trust which comprises of two Grammar Schools, two Secondary Schools a Studio School and an alternative provision Free School.

We have an expansive site on the edge of the West Midlands, surrounded by fields with open spaces and excellent facilities. The school is a five minute walk from Aldridge village, a 10 minute drive from the M6 and as close to Walsall Town Centre. Aldridge is served by bus routes 6, 7, 7A, 936 and 997.
