TEACHER OF SCIENCE
Charters School Science Department is looking to appoint an exciting and innovative teacher of Physics or Chemistry to join our friendly, dynamic and collaborative department in September 2018. We need you to have a love of teaching and of science, a willingness to trial new ideas and be a team player who puts the good of the students at the heart of all that you do.
This post would be appropriate for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
Charters School offers excellent promotion prospects and a comprehensive induction programme. Priority admission of children of successful applicants applies for this subject.
Charters School, a single academy, is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with 1700 students on roll (including 400+ in the Sixth Form) located in Sunningdale, Near Ascot, Berkshire. It has been graded as an “outstanding” school on two successive occasions and is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education.

Charters School is a 11 – 18 mixed comprehensive school with over 1700 students with 390 in the Sixth Form. We believe in a holistic approach to education providing excellent opportunities in and outside the traditional learning that inspires individuals in their academic and social development.
Our approach ensures that individuals are successful in their educational journey with us enabling individuals of all abilities to thrive and reach their personal goals, each year students take up places at Oxford and Cambridge as well as international universities and high-level apprenticeships in the local area and further afield.
Our attainment levels at GCSE are significantly above national comparisons with progress figures the same. At ‘A’ level 56% of grades were A*-B in 2024. The outcomes at both A level and GCSE are due to the hardwork of our staff and students.
Professional development and staff well-being are a high priority for us. We invest heavily in the development of our staff as well as support mechanisms.
