Job overview
Herschel Grammar School is a mixed, selective school graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible Learning Support Assistant to support EHCP pupils with visual impairment and the wider SEND cohort.
A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist in the whole planning cycle and preparation of resources and support young people in class.
We aim to appoint individuals who:
- have good practical skills and an attention to detail;
- are approachable, caring but firm;
- are able to work with teachers and students in a calm way;
- good standard of literacy and numeracy;
- have good ICT skills;
- are energetic, creative and hands on in all they do;
- can work collaboratively in a team;

- have an openness to training and personal development.
