Green Lane Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our academy in February 2025 on a part time, permanent basis.

Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher. You will support pupils to ensure they can access learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
Hours: 26.25 hours per week / Term Time only (38 Weeks) / Permanent

The Academy was judged to be an Outstanding school in November 2023 in all areas, and we have held this judgement since 2009. In 2024 we achieved our highest Year 6 SAT outcomes.

Garforth Green Lane Primary School is situated in a residential area of Garforth, a small commuter town on the eastern rim of the city of Leeds. Leeds is only a short drive away and has a number of cosmopolitan bars and clubs, theatres, restaurants, historical attractions, sports facilities and shopping centres. It also boasts a number of large retail outlets.
Garforth is well served by transport links:
By road: The A1 and M1 are a short drive away, and have both been linked by an extension of the M1 which passes to the West and North of the town accessed nearby at Junctions 46 and 47.
By rail: There are 2 railway stations: Garforth and East Garforth, which are both on the mainline route between Leeds, York, and North Eastern England to Scotland, and also between Leeds, Selby and Hull and the East Yorkshire coastal resorts.
