The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team on a part-time basis, acting as Maternity Cover.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, child-centred and dynamic Teaching Assistant You will work under the instruction and guidance of both class teachers and subject specialists, support the delivery of quality learning and teaching, helping to raise standards of achievement and provide pastoral care for pupils.

Who we are looking for

As an experienced Teaching Assistant you will have:

• GCSE level education in literacy and numeracy, or the equivalent
• Experience of working with young children and an understanding of child development and the ways in which children learn
• An ability to assist children on an individual basis, in small groups and during whole class work
• An ability to clearly explain tasks and foster children’s independence
• An ability to successfully supervise children, modelling defined behaviour management policies
• A love of working with young children
