The Post
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our experienced and dynamic Learning Support Team. The role involves supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities to access the school curriculum, both individually and in small groups. The successful applicant will be someone who works well in a team, can prioritise and is able to work flexibly with colleagues to support students. Good communication skills are essential as the post holder will work closely with staff, students and the family to enable successful inclusion. Commitment to the core values of the school and to the importance of your own professional development are essential.

Results at A level in the mixed sixth form shared with our partner school, St Birinus School, are also extremely strong with 30% of grades awarded as A* or A and 62% achieving Grades A*-B. These results place us as one of the highest performing schools in the county.
Didcot Girls’ School is heavily committed to recognising and maximising the potential of all of its students, and so operated a strong curriculum based around high-quality teaching in core subjects. The school also encouraged students to be outgoing and strong-willed, with a number of opportunities available for them to test their leadership skills, through things such as the School Council and Leadership Ladder. The personal growth of pupils is considered to be a crucial part of their ability to function well in further education or employment when they leave school post-16.
