We have an exceptional opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated, passionate and resilient 1:1

Teaching Assistants to join our team. Our staff team is friendly, supportive and hardworking and we place significant importance on staff wellbeing and development.

Teaching assistants (inc. 1-1) are expected to support pupils under the direction of our supportive teachers. 

 

Pinewood is an academy for 11–16-year-olds, who all have Special Educational Needs including Learning Difficulties, Autism and Speech, Language and Communication needs. Pinewood has a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere built on mutual respect. 

Experience of working as a teaching assistant or within a Special School is not a pre-requisite for this position, but would be advantageous. An interest and enthusiasm for developing within this exciting, challenging and rewarding area of education is key.

Working pattern:     Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 8.30–4.00pm, 

Thursday & Friday 8.30–3.30pm

Possibility of flexibility for a 3pm finish (except for on Tuesdays due to staff training – please discuss any preferences on application form – (please note we can only accommodate flexible working finish times from 3pm – all other working hours are mandatory)
