Job overview
Carlton Academy Trust (CAT) is a Bradford-based Multi-Academy Trust formed in 2019 out of the success of Carlton Bolling an ‘Ofsted’ Outstanding rated secondary school which obtained World Class School Status in 2018 and was voted ‘Secondary School of the Year’ in the 2019 BBC/Pearson National Teaching Awards. The Trust has expanded rapidly and currently has two secondary and three primary schools, with around 3500 students and 500 staff. CAT aspires to the highest standards, with the aim of making all schools ‘Outstanding’ and in recognition of this has recently been approached to become one of the country’s first ‘World Class Trusts’.
The Trust is a good place to work with a happy, friendly, open culture which seeks to support and develop staff, who are encouraged to be leaders and pro-actively develop practice. Although valuing both, CAT prefers character and potential to experience and skills, looking to recruit people who with the necessary support and training will attain the very highest standards.
Staff welfare is important to us as we see them as the Trust’s prime resource. Therefore, we look after them well, offering benefits including an Employee Assistance programme, generous remuneration packages and encouraging a proper work-life balance.
We are currently looking for an experienced Trust Catering Manager to lead a team of School Catering Managers in a growing Multi Academy Trust of two secondary and three primary schools, providing ‘whole day’ catering provision for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have:-
- Proven operational experience managing large teams in multi-site catering operations including HR & Performance Management.
- Previous experience of menu development, planning and procurement.
- Strong people manager and leader with excellent communication skills.
- Strong financial management skills with experience of budget compilation and presentation.
We look forward to hearing from candidates who share our vision and are prepared to put in the effort to attain our goals.
