We are seeking to appoint a capable and highly-motivated counsellor to join our Sixth Form Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing students with first-class guidance and support as they explore university and career options. They will also be expected to take a leading role in all aspects of students’ university applications and in supporting Sixth Form students. An expertise in US universities admissions is essential, as well as a good working knowledge of a range of other admissions systems, including UCAS.

About Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar
KTJ is a thriving, not-for-profit international, day and boarding school set in the beautiful Malaysian countryside, an hour’s drive south of Kuala Lumpur. The School was established in 1991 and caters to more than 1,000 students aged 3 to 19. The Primary School, which opened in 2013, follows the English National Curriculum in English and mathematics, alongside the International Primary Curriculum; while the Secondary School prepares students for IGCSEs and A Levels. Most students go on to study at UK universities.

Teaching Information
Teachers at Kolej Tuanku Jaafar are expected to hold at least 2 years’ relevant experience in their teaching subject and the British National Curriculum, with strong IT skills. Teachers are also expected to engage fully in the life of the school.
