General Role

Maida Vale School Music Department is seeking an experienced Acting teacher, on a self-employed basis, to commence in September 2024, teaching LAMDA exams at various levels (grade 1 – 9).

The successful candidate will have professional training in Acting or Directing, a proven track record of leading pupils to achieve outstanding results, and a positive attitude to working with students at all levels.

Facilities

Our Drama department is made up of one exclusive teaching room and a larger theatre space. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work/teach in a variety of teaching spaces.

Curriculum

Our Drama curriculum starts with a two-year Key Stage 3 in which Drama is taught to mixed ability classes in Years 7 and 8 for 90 minutes every week. We follow the AQA GCSE Drama Specification and from Sept 2024 will start the Edexcel BTEC in Performing Arts (Extended Certificate).
