English/Maths GCSE C or above (or equivalent) 

Business insurance/access to a car (expenses will be paid) 

 

WiEducate offers alternate education for 16-24 years who have been unable to access other education provision in the area. WiEducate works 1:1 and in small groups to support our young people to achieve their aspirations and successfully transition into adulthood. 

 

As a Youth Mentor with WiEducate, you will be working closely with the education and wellbeing practitioner in our learning space to deliver a high quality bespoke education programme to our learners. You will support learners to achieve their aspirations and goals and progress them towards their next steps (other education providers/training or employment) 

  • Serve as a mentor to learners, providing guidance and support 
  • Develop and implement educational programs and activities for Young people 
  • Assist with educational studies and provide tutoring as needed  
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for young people to learn and grow 
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the young people 
  • Monitor and track the progress of each young person, identifying areas for improvement 
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to help young people overcome challenges 
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting self-esteem and confidence 
  • Support EHCP annual reviews 
  • An understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental health needs of young people  
  • Experience of supporting young people in education, care or other settings  
  • Ambition to work with and support young people to progress and achieve  
  • Driver license and access to a car with business insurance  
  • Maths and English (GCSE C or above or equivalent)
