The unit title is HT5: Preparing and Cooking Food. The brief is broken into 2 tasks. The first lets the learner know that they are a chef in a vegan restaurant and they need to research a new dish to offer customers. They have to work out costs, provide list of ingredients and describe the method. There are worksheets for the learners to provide evidence of their research.
Task 2 is the practical element. Here the learner cooks the dish and serves it to a peer who then assesses their performance. There are worksheets provided to document all evidence.
