Paris Presentation and Quiz/Video

(31)
I'm planning on using this with my Y9s for a module on Paris - this is my starter to the topic. The PowerPoint has a hyperlink to a video which the worksheet/following quiz questions are based on. CLICK ON THE '10 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW' FOR THE VIDEO! NB: Following on from several reviews about not being able to find the hyperlink - here's the URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzCD1sKjbzE

Y8 MOCK TEST - HOLIDAYS/ACTIVITIES/TRAVEL

I used this mock test with my Year 8's based on what we had learned so far that term, in preparation for their end of unit test on holidays. Once they had gone through the test, they swapped their answer sheets with a partner and peer assessed each others work, looking for common errors/mistakes.

AQA FRENCH NEW SPEC GCSE 2016 GRAMMAR SHEETS

(1)
This has been a real labour of love...
Taken from the new AQA specification for the 2016 GCSE, this contains all of the grammar published by AQA on the new specified topics from the new spec, with some activities at the bottom of each page.
Obviously this can be tweaked for higher ability and some of the French words taken away for dictionary work etc.

KS3 SPELLING BEE

A lovely end of term/year resource that takes up 3 lessons.
Our Y7 have absolutely loved this, and without realising, have essentially completed a spelling test consolidating the some of the words they have learned this year!
Our finalist won a £20 gift voucher of their choice and the perpetual trophy with their name engraved for this year’s spelling bee. It was a lovely competition. We took all Y7 off timetable for an hour for the final round and completed it in the hall.

Included are:

Lesson instructions for the 3 lessons

PowerPoints for each lesson

Student handout

Homework revision slide

There is a little video introducing the concept of a spelling bee, hyperlinked on the first slide (click on the bee.)

ENJOY!
