<p>Introducing pets to Year 7</p>

<p>A text for French KS4 (or able KS3) with 4 related activities with possibility for extension.</p>

<p>a good starter or plenary. These must be cut and laminated. Pupils each have a card, or more than one depending on size of class, and pupils have to go around the class trying to beat their times to go through all the cards. I got the idea from another TES user who did one on GCSE holidays.</p>

<p>Moi et ma personnalité - Full lesson introducing vocabulary relating to personality, question and answers to use the vocabulary and moving on to talk about your own personality and that of other people.<br /> (Pupils should already have covered hair/eyes and been introduced to avoir and être before)</p> <p>Group activity to start using dictionary to acquire new vocabulary. Feedback to class.<br /> Introduce and practice the questions Tu es comment physiquement?; De caractère comment es-tu?; Tu as les yeux et les cheveux de quelle couleur?; and the constructions Je suis; and J’ai.<br /> Moving to sentence building, talking about someone else in the third person with il/elle as a class activity, and then using board example for pupils to create their own written sentences in their books.<br /> Reintroduction of the full verbs of Être and Avoir for pupils to practice other parts of the verb with the new vocabulary. This is great for mini whiteboard activity / pair work.<br /> Final activity for pupils ti check their knowledge of the verbs être and avoir in the example sentences.</p>

<p>Pupils have to put the words into French before finding them in the wordsearch. Developed for Encore Tricolore 2 Unit 7 but is fine in other instances</p>
