<p>This resource provides a three/four lesson project that aims to introduce students to Access database through an engaging and easy-to-follow scenario. Students can either work on the project independently using clearly explained steps and video demonstrations or participate in an interactive lesson led by the teacher.</p> <p>Originally created for my class, this resource serves as an introduction to database software for the iGCSE Paper 2 topic but can be also used for year 7 -9. The project covers the following skills:</p> <ul> <li>Exploring the benefits of database software compared to paper-based systems.</li> <li>Understanding database terminology.</li> <li>Importing external data into a database.</li> <li>Creating new tables.</li> <li>Exploring different data types.</li> <li>Understanding relationships between tables.</li> <li>Utilizing queries for data retrieval and manipulation.</li> </ul>
