<p>This is a set of 2 double-sided, colourful word mats (to be printed on A4 or A3 and laminated) for pupils to refer to in Spanish lessons when producing spoken or written work. It gives the conjugation of different verb tenses, opinions in different tenses, important conjunctions and time structures.</p>

<p>A presentation to revise/practise numbers up to 100, introduce the structure for giving one’s age and saying when one’s birthday is. The presentation is accompanied by a sheet giving the Spanish numbers up to 100 and another sheet giving the days of the week and months of the year. One slide of the presentation is a whole-class speaking game and there is also a round-robin Spanish maths game.</p>

It contains 11 rounds: 5 letters rounds, 5 numbers rounds and a Spanish conundrum.</p> <p>The letters rounds have a 2 minute timer, to allow teams of players to try to find Spanish words in their books, from memory or in a dictionary. You will need access to Scrabble letter (or similar) to select the letters for each round and write them up.</p> <p>The numbers rounds have a 90 seconds timer. The numbers and totals are pre-programmed to appear.</p> <p>The conundrum is a common Spanish word.</p>

<p>This is a revision PPT based on Dynamo 1, Module 3 (sports &amp; leisure). Each slide has a hyperlink to an online quiz or puzzle (mainly from Wordwall). The Quizizz link on slide 1 may need to be refreshed as I believe it has a time limit. There are 6 puzzles in all.</p>

<p>This “escape room” style PPT presentation has hyperlinks to 5 different Wordwall games that revise the various contents of Dynamo 1 Module 5. It should also be compatible with Google Slides.</p>

<p>I used this lesson for a Year 9 class who had had a couple of Spanish taster lessons at the end of Year 8. It covers the Spanish alphabet, pronunciation and the use of accents and apostrophes. There is a PPT presentation and several Word documents to use as hand outs. There is also a lesson plan attached. The class I used it with was mixed ability and included a pupil who was visually impaired, requiring everything to be on a yellow background.</p>

<p>The presentation encourages pupils to come up with their own rules for spotting m/f words in Spanish, then looks at how plurals are formed and which articles are used for a/the/some depending on gender/plurals. There are different tasks to practise these. The 2nd half of the presentation looks at the words for my/your (singular) / his &amp; her in relation to family members. The family members are introduced using The Simpsons and there is a family-tree speaking task at the end. There is a Simpsons crossword linked to the family tree, to practise family vocab/possessive pronouns/me llamo etc.</p> <p>There are 4 related hand outs: an A4 sheet for the group work on spotting gender, A6 colour vocab grids for the articles and the possessive pronouns and a list of the various family members (divided into foundation and higher level vocabulary).</p>
