The Sounds Of English (IPA, RP)

If you are looking for a way to improve your students’ oral comprehension and production skills (listening and speaking), this resource will be of great help to you, as it lays the foundations of knowledge about the sounds of English.

This is my most ambitious project as an EFL teacher. It is a comprehensive compilation of the vowel and consonant sounds of English, described in great detail (with all the spellings), using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).

Aimed especially at Spanish students of English as a foreign language, it is a resource that can also be used by speakers of any other language.

Given the difficulty and time required to compile the large number of examples and spellings I have included, I consider this resource highly valuable.
